We are located down by Dalgate on the Boulevard road which is one of the most famous parts of Srinagar. Our office is right near Hotel Blooming Dale so it is a very easy spot to find if you are walking along the lake. Being so close to the water means we see the shikaras and the tourists all day long and it gives the place a specific kind of energy. The office itself is quite simple and we don't have any high-end furniture or polished floors. We just have what we need to get the travel bookings done and to help people figure out their trips. Most of the time we are busy with the phone or talking to people who wander in after seeing the lake. It can get quite hectic in the summer months when the Boulevard is packed with people but we just try to keep our heads down and do the paperwork. We don't make any big promises or use fancy language to describe what we do. It is just a local travel office where we try to be helpful and get things right for the people who trust us with their plans. Sometimes we just sit outside for a minute to breathe the air from the lake before getting back to the computer. It’s a good place to work and we feel lucky to be in such a nice part of the city even when the work is repetitive.
