If you look for us at the Bakhtawar Complex on M A Road, you’ll find us in Shop Number 1 on the second floor. We are tucked away near Regal Lane and the Municipal Market, not far from where the old Regal Cinema used to be. Al Furqaan Tours & Travels is a local operation through and through. We are right in the Lal Chowk area, which is always moving. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a regular workplace with desks and computers. We spend our time sorting out travel plans for people who want to see Srinagar and the surrounding areas. We don’t have a professional marketing team. Most of our work comes from people who know us or stumble upon our shop while they’re at the market. We try to be practical about everything. If a road is closed or a flight is cancelled, we tell you straight. There is no point in making things sound better than they are. We have a few reliable people we work with to make sure the transport is sorted. It’s a lot of coordination and late-night phone calls sometimes. We’ve been here long enough to know how to handle the local surprises. We just provide a service to help people get around without having to worry about every single detail themselves. It’s just how we make our living here in the city.
