This is the Aircel spot located at Madeen Sahib in the Hawal area of Srinagar. We’ve been here at the 190011 zip code for a good while, helping people with their mobile connections and whatever else comes up with their service. Hawal is a busy neighborhood, and we see a lot of different people coming through the doors every day. Some people are frustrated because their signal is weak, and others just want to get a new SIM card for their phone. We try to help them out as best as we can without making things too complicated for anyone. The shop is simple, with just a counter and some display cases for accessories. It’s not one of those huge flagship stores you see in the bigger cities or movies. It’s just a local place where you can get your phone sorted. My colleagues and I have been working here together for a bit, and we know the locals pretty well. In the winter, we keep a heater under the desk because it gets really cold in Hawal. We deal with the usual glitches and paperwork that come with the telecom business. It isn't always exciting, but it’s what we do to earn a living.
