Gosia Salon

Setting up shop in Palam Colony was a simple decision because there are always people walking around here. Gosia Salon isn't one of those high-end places you see in the malls. It’s just a small room with a couple of chairs and big mirrors that I have to clean every morning. Usually, the morning starts slow with just one or two guys wanting a quick trim before work. By the evening, it gets crowded and people have to wait on the bench outside. I’ve seen kids grow up coming here for their first haircuts, and now they bring their own kids. It’s mostly just local talk while the scissors are moving. We talk about the weather, the local news, or whatever is happening on the street. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, and I’m always sweeping it up. The equipment isn’t the newest, but it works fine for what we need. I try to keep the water running and the towels fresh, though sometimes things get a bit chaotic when it's busy. Palam Colony is a loud place, so you can always hear the traffic from outside while you’re sitting in the chair. It’s just a regular neighborhood spot. No fancy lights or music, just the sound of the fan and the clinking of tools. Most folks know where to find us. It’s a decent life, keeping the neighbors looking somewhat tidy without making it a big complicated thing.
