Up on the first floor of Sudeep Plaza, things stay pretty busy throughout the day. We are right there in Dwarka Sector 11, not too far from Kargil Chowk and just opposite Akshardham Apartment. It’s a convenient spot for the neighbors to drop in when they have a spare hour. You walk up the stairs and you’re right in the middle of it. We’ve got the usual setup—comfy chairs, big mirrors, and shelves full of bottles we use every day. The shop feels lived-in because it is. We aren't trying to be anything too grand; we just want to make sure the haircuts are straight and the facials are relaxing. You can hear the traffic from the road outside sometimes, but we usually have some music playing to cover it up. People from the apartments across the street often pop their heads in to see if we have a free slot for a quick threading or a wash. We know most of the faces by now. Saturday afternoons are usually the most chaotic, with everyone wanting to get ready for their weekend plans at the same time. We might forget to change the water in the flower vase once in a while, but we never forget how a regular likes their hair parted. It’s just a local shop where we work hard, drink too much chai, and keep the floors swept between clients. It is simple and it works for us and the people here.
