Chanchals Beauty Parlour

Chanchals Beauty Parlour is tucked away in Dwarka Sector 7, specifically in the Palam Extension area at F-651. It is a quiet spot compared to the big main markets. Inside, the walls are painted a soft color and there are a couple of big mirrors with lights around them. We have a small curtained area in the back for privacy when it is needed. The smell of thread and hair cream is always in the air here. We keep a stack of old magazines on the table for the ladies who are waiting for their turn. It is mostly local women from the apartment blocks nearby who come in to see us. Sometimes the neighborhood kids run in looking for their mothers. We stay busy with eyebrow threading and basic hair trims. The floor needs sweeping every hour because the hair just piles up. We have a small water heater for when we need to wash someone’s hair before a cut. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked with parked cars, but inside it is mostly just the sound of the hair dryer and people chatting about their day. It is a small business run by people who live right here in the area. We do not use any big machines, just our hands and some basic kits. The tea kettle is almost always on in the back room because the afternoons get long. We just do our work and talk with the neighbors who stop by.
