Shiva Garden Shop

Our shop, Shiva Garden Shop, sits right on the Main Mehrauli Gurgaon Road in Ghitorni. The specific plot is Khasra No. 415. It’s a dusty stretch of road, but it’s where all the action is for people looking for plants and garden stuff. We spend most of our time outside, so we are usually covered in a bit of dirt or mud by the end of the day. It’s just the nature of the work. The traffic on MG Road is constant, and the sound of cars and trucks is like background music to us now. We have various rows of things set out, and we spend our mornings watering everything before the sun gets too high. Ghitorni is a place where you see a lot of these kinds of shops, but we like our little corner at 415. We don't have a computer system or anything like that; we just know what we have and where it is. If someone asks for something, we go find it. It’s a bit messy sometimes, especially after it rains and the ground gets soft, but that’s just how a garden shop is supposed to look. We don't wear uniforms, just regular clothes that we don't mind getting ruined. When the sun starts to set, we pull the gates shut and head home, ready to do it all again the next morning.
