Total Foodservice Equipment Pvt L Td. is tucked away at A-15 in the Lower Ground Floor of Hauz Khas. Since we’re in the front part of the LGF, we get a little bit of a view of the street level, but it’s still a basement spot. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze because food service equipment is usually big—think ovens, heavy mixers, and stainless steel counters. We’re constantly moving things around to make more room. The office part is just a few desks squeezed in between the displays. Hauz Khas is a trendy area, but our basement is all business. It’s often cold in the winter and a bit stuffy in the summer, but we’ve got a few fans and heaters to keep us comfortable while we work. We spend our time talking to restaurant owners and chefs who need gear for their kitchens. There’s usually a lot of clanking as we move metal parts around. It’s not the kind of place where you’d expect a corporate headquarters, and that suits us just fine. We like being right here where the action is. Sometimes the rain makes the entrance a bit slippery, and we have to put out mats. It’s just a normal, busy office where we try to keep track of orders and help out whoever walks down the stairs.
