Parmanand Nursery

Parmanand Nursery is located in Dwarka Sector 19. We are set up right opposite the Vardhman Mall, which makes us pretty easy to spot if you are in that area. It is an open space where we keep all our plants and gardening supplies. Working at a nursery means we are outside in the weather every single day. Whether it is raining or the sun is beating down, we are out there tending to the soil and the saplings. It is a bit of a messy job with mud and water everywhere, so don’t expect us to be wearing suits. We are usually in old clothes that can get dirty. The nursery is a bit like a green patch in the middle of all the concrete buildings in Sector 19. We have rows of different plants and it takes a lot of time to keep them all healthy. It is not a high-tech operation. We use simple tools and a lot of manual labor. People from the nearby apartments often stop by while they are walking to the mall. We have a small shed where we keep some of the more delicate stuff and our basic tools. It gets quite busy on the weekends when people have time for their gardens. We just do our best to keep everything growing and make sure the place stays somewhat organized despite the constant dirt and shifting of pots.
