Hitex International

We’ve been at H-16 in Green Park for quite a while now. The building is one of those older ones where you know every creak in the floorboards. It gets pretty busy here around mid-morning. We usually have samples spread out over the big table in the back room. Someone is always on the phone talking about shipping dates or checking if a crate arrived at the port. Hitex International sounds like a big name, but it’s really just a handful of us making sure things move from point A to point B. We don’t have a fancy reception desk. Most of the time, the front door is just propped open to let some air in. You’ll see stacks of files and rolls of material tucked into the corners. It is not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. Usually, lunch is just whatever someone brought from home or something quick from the shop down the street. We spend a lot of time double-checking lists and making sure the labels are right. Sometimes the internet goes out and we just have to wait it out. It is just how things go. We deal with people from all over, but we are just here in this little part of Green Park. The neighbors know us by now. It is a lot of work, and the days feel long when a big order is going out. We just keep at it.
