We are out in the Mayapuri Industrial Area, Phase 2, at C-303. If you’ve been to Mayapuri, you know it’s a busy place with a lot of noise and metalwork going on everywhere. Our factory is right in the middle of it. We make faucets, so there is always the sound of machines and the smell of metal in the air. The floors are concrete and they get pretty dusty by the end of the shift. We have a small office section partitioned off, but you can still hear everything from the floor. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We mostly wear work clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of grease on. Bharat Faucet has been operating out of this unit for several years. We have some heavy machinery that takes up most of the space. There are stacks of boxes ready to go out near the main door. During the summer, it gets really hot inside, so we drink a lot of water and take breaks when we can. We don't really have any fancy displays for our products here. They are mostly just in bins or boxes. It’s a tough environment but we’ve gotten used to it. The neighbors are all doing similar things, so there’s a lot of trucks moving in and out of the lane. It’s just a plain, hardworking factory.
