We are located in Shantinagar, which is in Ponda, Goa. People always think of Goa as just beaches and tourists, but Ponda is more about the greenery and the temples. Shantinagar is a relatively quiet neighborhood compared to the coast. We run Demerg System India from here. It is a nice enough place to spend the day. We have some trees around the building, and you can hear the birds in the morning before the traffic picks up. The office is pretty straightforward. We have some computers, a few chairs that have seen better days, and a table for meetings. It gets very rainy during the monsoon season, and everything stays damp for months, but we are used to it by now. We usually take a break in the afternoon when it gets quiet. There is a local bakery nearby that smells great in the morning. We are not a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a small team of us. We keep our heads down and do our work. The pace in Ponda is a bit slower than Panjim or Margao, which suits us just fine. We have our routine, we know the local shops, and we just keep things running from this little corner of Goa. It is a simple, steady way of life for us here in Shantinagar.
