Tinna Oil Mils

Plot No. 6 in Sultanpur is where we’ve been based for a good while now. Right across from C-Dot in Mehrauli, the location is easy enough to find if you know the local landmarks. Most mornings, the mill starts humming with the sound of machines pressing seeds into oil. It gets pretty loud and the heat in the summer is no joke, but that’s just the nature of the work. Our days are spent checking the latest batches and making sure the containers are all lined up for the trucks. Sometimes the traffic on the main road is a real headache when we're trying to move things out, but we make it work. Most of the guys here have been working together for a long time. We probably know those machines better than our own cars at this point. It’s definitely not a fancy place, just a lot of concrete and metal with the smell of raw seeds hanging in the air. You might see a few of us standing out front during lunch, just trying to catch a bit of a breeze. We don’t bother with much advertising because the regular work keeps us busy enough. There is always another load coming in or a customer calling about an old order. Keeping our heads down and doing the job is just what we do. The building is showing its age and the paint is peeling in spots, but it does what it needs to for Tinna Oil Mils.
