Okhla Phase-1 is always crowded, and that’s where you’ll find us at C-62. Mehala Machines has been operating out of this industrial area for a good bit now. If you come by, you’ll hear the sound of machines running before you even walk through the door. It’s an industrial space, so don’t expect it to be quiet or spotless. We deal with sewing machines and other heavy equipment. There’s always crates being moved around and technicians with grease on their shirts trying to calibrate something. The air smells a bit like machine oil and cardboard. We have a warehouse area that stays pretty packed with stock. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific part quickly, but we usually know where everything is hidden. The team here just gets on with it. We don't have a lot of meetings; we just talk over the noise of the floor. It can get pretty hectic when a big shipment arrives or when a customer has a machine that broke down and they’re in a rush. We just try to get the repairs done and the orders out. There’s a lot of coming and going with delivery trucks blocking the lane. It’s just the way things go in Okhla. We’ve got a small corner for water and tea, which is where most of the planning actually happens. It's just a regular factory life for us and we stay until the work is done without complaining much about the long hours.
