About The House Of Tara – Fashion & Trends in South Delhi
Our place, The House Of Tara, is down in the Okhla Industrial Area, specifically Phase-II at D-5/4. If you know Okhla, you know it’s full of factories and warehouses. Our building is pretty much like the others—solid and built for work. We make bags and various textile items here. The sound of sewing machines is basically the soundtrack to our day. It’s a bit noisy, but you get used to it after the first week. We have stacks of fabric everywhere—canvas, leather, and cotton rolls sitting in the corners. It’s not a showroom; it’s where things actually get made. The air smells like new material and a bit of machine oil. We’ve got a group of people who have been sewing and cutting here for years. They know exactly how to handle the heavy machines. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything. Usually, you just walk in and see someone checking the quality of a zipper or packing a box. It’s a very hands-on type of business. When the heat gets bad in the summer, we keep the big fans going full blast. It’s hard work, and the days can be long when we have a big shipment going out. But there’s a good feeling when you see the finished bags piled up ready to go. We’re just a bunch of people making things in a busy industrial hub, trying to stay on top of our daily orders.
