Sun Beam Shawls

You can find Sun Beam Shawls in the basement of G-65 in Lajpat Nagar-I. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice when you are surrounded by wool and fabric. Lajpat Nagar is always busy. There are people everywhere and cars honking, but once you step down into our shop, it gets a bit quieter. We have piles of shawls everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit because we have so much stock. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It's just shelves and tables covered in different patterns. We’ve been here for a good amount of time. People who know us usually just walk in and start looking through the stacks. We help them out if they need it, but mostly we let them feel the materials. We do our own sorting and checking right here. It’s a family-run kind of feel. My brother handles some parts and I handle the rest. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. The lighting isn't the best, but we have enough lamps to see the colors clearly. We pack everything ourselves. It's a small business and we like keeping it that way. Every shawl has a story, even if we don't always have time to tell it.
