S.S. Engineering Works

You can find us at 24 Bada Mohalla, right in the Khanpur Extension area near Devil Road. S.S. Engineering Works is tucked away there, and it’s a tight squeeze sometimes when trucks try to unload. The shop isn't massive, but we make use of every inch of space we have. I’ve lived around here for years, so most of the people walking by are neighbors. We do a lot of small-scale engineering stuff, mostly custom bits that people can’t find in regular stores. My hands are usually stained with grease by ten in the morning. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If someone needs us, they just walk into the mohalla and look for the noise. The roof leaks a little when it rains hard, so we have to move the machines around to keep them dry. It’s just how things are at 24 Bada Mohalla. We use some old-school tools along with a few newer ones we saved up for. Sometimes the electricity is a bit spotty, which can be a pain when you’re in the middle of a cut. But we manage to get the work finished eventually. It’s a busy life here on Devil Road, always something happening outside the door. We just keep our heads down and handle the metalwork as it comes in. It is hard work, but it keeps the lights on and we enjoy being part of the community here.
