Indian Oiltanking Design & Engineering

Our office is in A-78 Sarita Vihar, over in New Delhi. If you know the area, you know it’s a busy part of the city with the Metro nearby and lots of people constantly on the move. We handle design and engineering work here. It is mostly a lot of screen time, looking at CAD drawings and trying to figure out the best way to layout a project. The office is usually filled with the sound of keyboards clicking and someone on a conference call. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and see us working. We get a lot of light through the windows, which is nice, but it also means the room gets pretty warm in the afternoon. We usually have lunch together at our desks or go find something quick to eat nearby. Dealing with design work in a city like Delhi means we are always balancing deadlines with the general chaos of city life. Sometimes the power goes out, or the traffic makes someone late for a meeting, but we just roll with it. It’s a practical environment. We have bookshelves full of old technical manuals and stacks of printed designs that we haven't gotten around to filing properly yet. We’ve been at this address for a while and have a routine that works for us. It’s just a regular group of people doing engineering design.
