Our place is located in Okhla Phase-III, right in the middle of all the other industrial buildings at A119. It’s a busy area and parking is always a nightmare if you don't get in early. Inside the building, it’s mostly the sound of machines running. We do engineering work, mostly making parts and components that go into bigger machines. It’s heavy work. The floor is concrete and usually has a bit of oil on it. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just have a few people who know how to run the lathes and the milling machines. Some of us have been here since the company first started. We take our lunch breaks together in the small room at the back. Usually, we're just talking about local news or how the traffic was on the way in. The Okhla heat can be tough in June, but we keep the windows open to get a breeze. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decorations. Every rupee goes back into the machines or the materials we need. When a client calls, they usually just want to know when their order will be ready. We try to give them an honest answer, even if it’s not what they want to hear. It’s just a regular engineering shop doing regular work for local businesses and some bigger firms too.
