Our place is in Gandhi Colony, which is right near the big Chhattarpur Temple. If you know that area, you know how busy it gets during festivals. We are at Plot 47. It is more of a workshop than a proper office. Being engineers, we deal with a lot of hardware and mechanical parts. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or toolboxes. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear your best clothes. We do a lot of repairs and small-scale manufacturing here. The sounds of grinding and hammering are pretty constant during the day. Chhattarpur is an interesting area because it is a mix of old houses and new businesses. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Our team is small, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. We do not have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks up, usually with greasy hands. We like the work because it is hands-on. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a job that needs to go out the next morning. It is just how it is. We do not do much advertising, mostly just people in the colony or nearby areas knowing we are here if they need something fixed or built. We just focus on the machines and getting the measurements right for whatever project is on the bench.
