Hauz Khas is a place everyone knows, but our corner at E-4 is a bit quieter than the main market area. It’s an old building, and you can feel the history in the walls. We’ve been operating out of this space for a long time. The rooms have high ceilings, and we’ve filled them with racks of clothes and sewing machines. There is always a faint smell of ironed fabric and steam in the air. We don't have a big corporate lobby. When you walk in, you are basically right in the middle of where the work happens. The staff mostly consists of people who have been with us for years. They know exactly where every needle and thread is kept. The windows look out onto the street, and sometimes you can see the local kids playing outside. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and making sure the stitches are straight. It’s not the kind of place where things are rushed. We take our time with the details. The furniture is a bit mismatched, mostly stuff we’ve picked up over the decades. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or work by the windows. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We don't use much technology besides the basics. It’s mostly about the skill of the people sitting at the benches.
