Pioneer Urban Land And Infrastructure operates out of S-366 in Greater Kailash II, New Delhi. Being in GK-II means we are right in the middle of everything. This city is always growing, and we are just trying to find our place in that growth. Most of our work involves looking at land and figuring out what can actually be built there. It’s a lot of walking around sites and then sitting in the office dealing with the New Delhi paperwork, which never seems to end. The office isn't very large, just enough room for our desks and a place to spread out maps and blueprints. We spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors and various city offices. It can be frustrating when things get delayed, which happens more often than we’d like. But we’ve learned to be patient. We don't use big words or fancy pitches; we just look at the land and see what is possible. It’s a practical business. Some days we are out in the dust at a site, and other days we are just here in the office drinking tea and trying to organize the next phase of a project. It’s a mix of being on the ground and being stuck behind a desk. We just take it day by day and try to keep our projects moving in the right direction despite the city’s chaos.
