Paul Wurth India Pvt Ltd is set up in The Mira, which is a block of corporate suites over in the F-1 Block. We are on the first floor, specifically units 1 and 2. The building is located near the old Ishwar Nagar area, right by the Okhla crossing on Mathura Road. If you’ve ever been stuck at that crossing during rush hour, you know it’s one of the busiest spots in the city. The noise of the horns and the buses is something we have just learned to tune out over the years. Our office inside The Mira is a bit more modern than some of the other places we have been, but it still feels like a workspace where real things happen. We have some open areas for the engineers and a few private rooms for the managers, but the doors are usually left open. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk up to someone’s desk if you have a question. There is always a pot of coffee going in the back, and the smell of it is usually the first thing you notice when you walk in. We don’t really do a lot of fancy decorating; the walls are mostly covered in technical drawings and project schedules. It is a practical office for a group of people who are mostly focused on the technical side of the industry. We just get on with our work and try to avoid the worst of the Mathura Road traffic.
