Our place is at 174/1 in Hari Nagar Ashram. It’s on the first floor. If you know Ashram, you know it’s one of the busiest intersections in all of Delhi. The noise from the flyover is always there in the background. We are Nikumbla Concrete and Construction. As the name says, we do a lot with concrete. Foundations, pillars, that kind of stuff. It is heavy, dirty work. Our office is usually cluttered with samples of stone and bags of cement. We are not the type to sit around in suits. We are usually in our work boots. We take on jobs all around this part of the city. Sometimes the logistics of getting a concrete mixer through these narrow streets is a total nightmare. We’ve had many late nights waiting for deliveries. We don't have a big polished About Us page because we are too busy working. We just do construction. It’s what we know. The team is small, mostly people from the neighborhood. We trust each other. We don't use fancy jargon. If you want a floor done, we tell you how much sand and cement it needs and how much it will cost. That's it. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we always come back to fix them. We’ve been in Hari Nagar for a while and plan to stay here. It is home for us and for the business. It’s hard work but we like it.
