Ministry Of Food Processing & Industries

The Ministry of Food Processing & Industries is based at Panchsheel Bhawan on August Kranti Marg. It is a big government building with all the usual things you would expect, like security guards at the entrance and lots of hallways that all look the same. We work here among stacks of files and long desks. It is a busy place because there is always some new policy or a report that needs to be finished. You see people carrying files from one room to another all day long. Outside, August Kranti Marg is always full of cars and people rushing somewhere. Inside, we have our own pace. There is a small canteen where we go for tea and talk about things other than work for a few minutes. We deal with everything related to food processing across the country, so the phone is always ringing. It isn't a flashy environment. The furniture is the standard wooden and metal kind you find in every government office. We have large windows, but they are often covered by blinds to keep the sun out. The atmosphere is serious but we have our moments of laughter too. It is a place where a lot of paperwork gets done to keep the industry moving along. We just show up, do our tasks, and try to keep the files organized. It is just the way the government work goes.
