Microtech Engineers

Being tucked away in Jia Sarai, right near IIT Hauz Khas, makes for an interesting work day. We’re at 28-B3, and if you know this area, you know how cramped and lively it is with all the students and researchers running around. Microtech Engineers has been in this little corner for a good bit of time. We do a lot of small-scale engineering work that requires a bit of thinking. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We’re usually in work clothes, probably with some grease on our hands or dust on our boots. The shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. There’s always a project on the bench and a few more waiting in the queue. We don't spend money on fancy brochures because we’d rather spend it on better tools. People drop by because they’ve heard we can handle the tricky jobs that bigger shops won't touch. It’s noisy and sometimes the power acts up, but we just deal with it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our work stays pretty much the same. It’s about being precise and getting the job done right so the customer doesn't have to come back with complaints. We just put our heads down and work. The commute is a bit long, but being part of this community makes it worth it.
