L.Rama Industries is located over in Ambedkar Colony, Chhatarpur. If you know the area, it's quite packed, and we’ve been at B-30 for quite some time now. We do a lot of the industrial manufacturing stuff that keeps other businesses going. It’s loud and usually pretty greasy in the back where the machines are, but that’s how we like it. The front office isn’t much to look at, just a desk and some old chairs for when folks drop by to check on their orders. We started small and stayed that way mostly because we like knowing everyone who walks through the door. South Delhi has changed a lot since we opened up, but Ambedkar Colony still feels like the same old neighborhood. We don't do much advertising; people usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past and seeing the signs. Dealing with parts and metal all day can be tiring, but there’s a certain feeling of getting it right that keeps us coming back. Sometimes the power goes out or the raw materials are late, and we just have to sit and wait it out with a cup of chai. It’s not a corporate setup with suits and meetings. It’s just us, some heavy equipment, and a lot of hard work every day. We try to be fair with people and keep the shop running smoothly. We have got everything organized in our own way.
