Our workplace is situated at 83, Sengundram Road, right in the Singaperumal Koil area of Chengalpet Taluk. Iris Development Engineering Applications Limited might sound like a mouthful, but we just call it the office or the shop. We spend a lot of time looking at drawings and working through engineering problems. It isn't always smooth sailing. Sometimes a project takes longer because things don't fit right the first time. That's just part of the engineering life. The road outside can get a little dusty during the dry season, and traffic near the temple area sometimes slows things down when we're trying to get parts in. We have a small team here. Everyone knows their spot. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the engineering work right so the applications actually function. Often, we’re huddled around a desk trying to figure out why a particular design isn't behaving. It’s a lot of trial and error. The building itself is pretty plain, nothing fancy. We’ve got the tools we need and a place to sit. Working in Chengalpet Taluk means we’re away from the main city rush, which most of us prefer. It’s quieter, though the industrial growth around here is picking up. We stay busy with the day-to-day tasks. If you walk down Sengundram Road, you’ll find us at number 83. It’s just a group of people trying to make things work.
