You can find us down in the basement of building number 15 in Sadhna Enclave. It is a quiet residential pocket of South West Delhi, which makes for a peaceful place to work compared to the main roads. Working from a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, though we do miss the sunlight sometimes. We’ve set up our desks here and spend most of our hours looking over plans and keeping track of our infrastructure projects. The entrance is just a simple set of stairs leading down from the street level. Sadhna Enclave is one of those neighborhoods where everyone sort of knows who belongs and who doesn't. We’ve got a small kettle for tea and some old metal cupboards for our files. It isn't a high-tech corporate office, but it works for what we do at Abn India Infrastructure. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, especially if we have a lot of paperwork spread out on the main table. The local guards walk past the windows at eye level, and you can hear the birds in the trees outside if the traffic is light. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. As long as the lights work and we have enough space to think, we are happy enough. It’s a steady life here in the basement, just getting through the to-do list day by day.
