Our little setup for A4K Contracting Services Llp is located at T 35 A on the top floor in Khirki Extn. It’s a lively neighborhood and having an office here keeps us close to the ground. We handle contracting services, which covers a lot of different ground depending on the day. Sometimes we are dealing with renovations, other times it’s bigger structural stuff. We don't have a team of secretaries or a big glass storefront. It’s just us in a practical space where we can get our planning done. Khirki Extn has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of it. We aren't into the whole "corporate image" thing. We just want to get the work finished and move on to the next thing. You’ll often find us with dusty shoes because we’ve just come from a site. That’s just the nature of the business. We use simple English and talk to our clients like normal people. There’s no need for big words when you’re talking about bricks and mortar. We started A4K because we had the skills and wanted to work for ourselves. It’s been a learning curve, but we enjoy the challenge. The office is where we hash out the details and make sure we aren't forgetting anything important for the project. It’s a straightforward operation. We do the work, we get paid, and we try to do right by the people who hire us, one job at a time, every single day.
