Eastern India Yellow Pages

We are located at 127 Pbb Sarani in the Banstola area of Rajpur, which is on the edge of Kolkata. It’s a bit of an older neighborhood and the building reflects that. We deal with the Yellow Pages, so our office is often filled with stacks of directories and lists of businesses from all over the region. It’s a lot of manual work, checking names and numbers and making sure everything is correct. The phones ring quite a bit with people wanting to list their shops or looking for a service. We have a few old desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the windows open to catch a breeze, even if it brings in the dust from the street. There are only a few of us working here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team, we just focus on the information we have in front of us. Most of the day is spent on the phone or typing at the desks. It’s a steady kind of work. We’ve been in this Rajpur spot for a long time and we know the local area quite well. Sometimes we have to walk down the street to check an address or a new shop. It’s a very straightforward, local business operation.
