Yash Salon

Yash Salon is situated right by the Juya Bus Stand in Akluj. Being on the Mangal Karalaya Road means we get a lot of different people coming through. Some are just passing through Solapur on a bus and need to look decent before they reach their destination. Others are locals who are heading to a wedding at one of the halls nearby. The shop is small and can get crowded on weekends, especially during the marriage season. We have a couple of chairs and some basic lighting. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, but I try to sweep it up every hour or so. It’s a busy spot because of the location. You can always hear the buses pulling in and out and the conductors shouting the destinations. It’s not the quietest place to get a haircut, but it’s convenient. I started this shop in Akluj because I wanted to be where the people are. The mirrors are a bit old, and the edges are starting to fade, but they still show you what you need to see. I don't use fancy products with names I can't pronounce. I just use what works and what people like. It's a practical business for practical people. We stay open late most nights because that's when the workers from the nearby shops finally have time to come in. It’s just a regular day-to-day life at the bus stand area.
