Ghodake Hair Salon

Ghodake Hair Salon has been a part of this Solapur neighborhood for a long time. We are tucked away near the Dashbhuja Ganpati temple, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. You can usually hear the temple bells from our front door. The shop is quite simple with just the basic chairs and mirrors we’ve had for years. We don’t bother with anything fancy or modern decorations because that’s not really who we are. People come here because they know us and we know exactly how they like their hair cut. Most of our customers are men from the nearby houses who have been coming since they were boys. We talk about the local news, the weather, and whatever else is happening in the city while we work. Some days it gets quite hot, so we keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze. It’s a small space, so you might have to wait on the wooden bench outside if we’re full. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. Just a plain shop where we work hard and treat people fairly. It’s been our life for a long time and we like it that way. If you’re walking past the temple, you’ll probably see us inside, usually busy with someone or just sweeping up the hair from the floor on a slow afternoon.
