K K Hair Salons is located right at 1591 Kuchan Nagar in Solapur. If you know Padmashali Chowk, then you know where we are. It’s a lively part of the city and there’s always something happening outside the door. Our shop is pretty straightforward. We have a few chairs set up and some big mirrors that have seen better days but still do the job. Usually, the day starts with a cup of tea while waiting for the first customer to walk in. Kuchan Nagar has a lot of families, so we see everyone from young boys to the elderly men who have lived here for decades. We don't have a big staff or anything, just a couple of us working through the day. The scissors and clippers are always going. Sometimes it gets crowded and people just wait on the bench outside or lean against the wall chatting. That’s just how it is at Padmashali Chowk. We try to keep things simple here. No need for anything over the top. The floors get swept a dozen times a day because hair gets everywhere. It’s a small space but it works for what we need. Solapur is home and this shop is where we spend most of our time. We see the seasons change through the front window. When the festivals come around, the whole area gets even busier. We just keep our heads down and keep working to make sure everyone leaves looking decent.
