Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School

If you head out toward Akkalkot Road in Solapur, you'll find us at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School in the Kumbhari area. It is a bit of a drive from the main city center, but it’s a good spot. The air feels a bit different out here. We have a fairly large space, and there's always something needing repair or a coat of paint. That is just how it is with big buildings. The staff arrives early, usually before the sun gets too high. Solapur can get incredibly hot, so we value the shade wherever we can find it. We aren't into big speeches or fancy corporate talk. We just show up and teach. The kids come from different backgrounds, and we see them growing up right in front of us. Some of the older teachers have seen siblings and cousins pass through these halls over the years. It’s a lot of paper work and grading, honestly. The staff room is always full of tea cups and open notebooks. We keep the gates shut during school hours to keep things orderly. It’s a simple routine. We start with the morning assembly, then it’s straight to the classrooms. By the time the final bell rings, everyone is pretty tired, but we do it all again the next day. It's a steady life here on the edge of Solapur.
