Saraswati Niketan Sr Sec School

Saraswati Niketan Sr Sec School is out on Hydrabad Road in Solapur. We are specifically located in Vidi Gharkul, near the Market Yard. It's a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the market is in full swing. We have the older students here, the ones doing their senior secondary years. It’s a lot of work for them and for us teachers. The school is a plain building that sits on a bit of a dusty road. Solapur is known for being dry and hot, and we certainly feel that here. We have big windows to let the air in, and we keep the fans running all day long to stay cool. We don't have any fancy sports fields, but the students find places to play during their breaks. Most of them live in the 413005 area or come in from the nearby parts of town. We are just a local school. We don't spend any time on marketing or trying to look polished. Our walls have some scuffs and the desks are old, but they work just fine for studying. We focus on getting the students through their final years of school. It’s a busy place with a lot of teenagers talking in the hallways between classes. We have a small office where we keep all the paper files and do the administrative work. It’s not fancy, but it’s ours. We just keep the school running day by day, year after year, for the families around Hydrabad Road.
