Shree Swami Salon

Shree Swami Salon is located in the heart of Solapur. We don't have a fancy building or a big neon sign, just a simple door that leads into our workspace. It’s a local spot where men come to get their hair trimmed or a quick shave before going to work. I’ve been running this place myself for a few years now. The interior is pretty basic with some benches for waiting and a couple of barber chairs that have seen better days but are still sturdy. I keep my scissors sharp and my combs clean, which is what matters most. The walls have a few pictures of gods and some old calendars. People around here don't expect luxury; they just want a decent haircut at a price that won't hurt their pocket. We talk about everything from local politics to the price of vegetables while I work. It feels more like a community meeting spot sometimes. I don't use many machines, mostly just my hands and a steady razor. On Sundays, the line can get a bit long, so I usually ask my nephew to come and help with the cleaning. We stay open until the last customer is satisfied, even if it gets dark outside. It’s a quiet life and a simple business, but it keeps the family fed and the neighborhood looking tidy. There isn't much more to it than that, just honest work every day for the people who live in Solapur.
