Shree Datta Salon

Shree Datta Salon is located on the Main Road in Mohol, right next to the Marathi School. We are very close to Shivaji Chowk. It’s a noisy spot with the kids playing nearby, but I like the energy. I’ve been a barber in Mohol for a long time. My shop is simple, with just the basic things you need for a haircut. I don't call it a salon because it's fancy, it's just a name. Most people around here just call it the barber shop near the school. I get a lot of teachers and parents coming in. We have two chairs and a small bench for people to sit on while they wait. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit cracked. I use a manual clipper sometimes when the electricity is gone. It takes more effort but it gets the job done. I’ve lived in Solapur all my life and this shop is my second home. We don't have any big posters or bright lights. Just a couple of bulbs and a big window for natural light. It’s an honest way to earn a living. I treat everyone the same, whether they are a regular or someone just passing through Mohol. We just do the work and try to be helpful to anyone who walks in. Mohol is a place where everyone knows everyone else. I like being a part of that. The school bell rings every few hours and reminds me of how long I've been sitting here. It’s a simple routine, but it’s mine.
