Samarth Salon

Our shop is located in Indira Nagar in Sholapur, which is a fairly quiet residential area compared to the city center. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now and most of the people living on this street are our regulars. Samarth Salon is a small place, nothing too fancy, just some chairs and the usual tools we need for the day. The mornings are usually slow, so we spend that time cleaning the mirrors and getting the towels ready for the day. Once the afternoon hits and the kids start coming home from school, things pick up. We do a lot of haircuts for the local boys and then the men start arriving after they finish their jobs in the evening. Sholapur weather is often very dry and hot, so we keep a couple of fans going to make sure it’s comfortable enough inside. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and if a chair is free, you sit down. If not, you wait on the bench and talk to whoever else is there. It’s a friendly vibe because most people here are neighbors. We don’t really do any advertising or anything. People just know we are here because we’ve been part of the community for so long. It’s a steady routine and we like the people who come in. It’s just a normal neighborhood salon.
