Samarth Hear Salon

The shop is here in Solapur, right in the heart of the 413001 area. We’ve been calling it Samarth Hear Salon for as long as we’ve been open. It’s a small place, maybe just enough room for three people to sit and wait while two are in the chairs. We don't have a lot of decorations, just the necessities like scissors, combs, and the spray bottles we use for water. The floor is tile, which makes it easier to sweep up after every customer. Solapur can get very hot, so the fan is always running, and we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze there is. We don't use any fancy booking systems or computers; you just walk in and wait your turn. Sometimes the wait is long on Sundays, but people don't seem to mind much. They just chat about the local news or whatever is happening in the market. We do basic haircuts and shaves for the local men and boys. It’s a quiet life, just coming in every day and doing the work. We aren't looking to become a big chain or anything like that. We just want to keep the shop running and serve the people who live on our street and the nearby lanes. It’s an honest shop for honest people. We like it that way and our customers seem to as well. It works out for everyone in the end.
