Samarth Hair Salon

Started here on Hasapur Road a while back. We are right by Vetale Chowk in Akkalkot. Solapur gets hot so people come in for a quick trim or a shave to feel a bit fresher. It isn't a big place but we have what we need. A few chairs, some good scissors, and mirrors that have seen better days but still work fine. Mostly locals stop by when they are heading home or out to the market. We keep the floor swept, though hair gets everywhere fast when it is busy. My cousin helps out sometimes when the morning rush hits. We don't do anything too fancy, just regular cuts for men and kids in the neighborhood. Usually, there is a radio playing in the background or people just chatting about the weather and local news. If you are walking down the road and see the sign, that is us. We open early because that is when people like to get their things done before work. Sometimes the tea guy stops by and we take a quick break. It is just a normal shop for the people living around here. Nothing fancy, just a place to sit down for twenty minutes and leave looking a bit neater than when you walked in. We’ve been at this spot for some time now and know most of the faces that walk through the door. It feels good to be part of the street here. It’s a simple life.
