New Rohit Hair Saloon

New Rohit Hair Saloon is located in the Mangalwar Peth area of Solapur City. This part of the city has a lot of history and the streets are usually quite narrow and busy. Our shop fits right in with the surrounding buildings. It’s a small place with a blue door that stays open most of the day to let the breeze in. Inside, we have our mirrors and the tall chairs that we’ve used for a long time. The lighting is just a couple of long bulbs on the ceiling. We get a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since they were kids. Now they bring their own children here. It’s a cycle we see all the time in Mangalwar Peth. We usually have a local newspaper sitting around, usually folded at the sports page. The sound of the city traffic is always in the background, but inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of water splashing and shears cutting. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that do their best. The cabinets are filled with different powders and creams that we’ve used for years. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a place for a haircut and a bit of talk. We start our day early and finish when the street lights come on in Solapur. It's just how we operate.
