New Bharat Hair Cutting Salon

We are over at 131 in Solapur City, right at Saraswati Chowk. If you look opposite City Corner, you’ll see our sign for New Bharat Hair Cutting Salon. It’s a central spot and we get a lot of foot traffic. The shop has been around for a while and hasn't changed much since my father’s time. We have the usual chairs and the big mirrors. Solapur is a warm place, so the ceiling fans are always running at full speed. Sometimes the floor gets covered in hair quickly during the rush hours, but we sweep it up when we can. It’s a place where neighbors meet up. We talk about the local news or the weather while we work. We don't have any of those modern hair products that cost a fortune. We use the stuff that has worked for decades. The shop isn't exactly modern, but it's familiar to everyone who lives around Saraswati Chowk. People know they can come in for a reliable haircut without any fuss. I like the morning time best when the sun hits the front of the shop. We keep the door open to let the breeze in. It’s just a normal hair cutting salon. Nothing more and nothing less. We are just part of the daily life here in this part of the city. We have a regular routine that we follow every single day.
