Bharat Hair Cutting Saloon & Gents Parlour

Our shop is at Shop Number 9 in Rutugandh Vihar. We are located in the Murarji Peth area of Solapur, right across from Kalpana Talkies. When a movie lets out, the street gets really crowded and loud. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the movies change on the big posters across the street. The shop is called Bharat Hair Cutting Saloon & Gents Parlour. It’s just a regular place for a haircut or a quick shave. We have the usual tools, some scissors, combs, and the electric trimmers. It’s not a very big shop, but we have enough space for a few people to sit and wait on the bench. We talk a lot about the films playing next door or just what's happening in Solapur lately. It’s a friendly enough place. We don't use any high-tech gadgets or anything like that. Just our hands and a bit of skill we've picked up over the years. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door and watch the traffic go by. Other days, we don't even have time to sit down at all. We like the work. It keeps us busy and we get to meet almost everyone in the neighborhood. We’ve seen many kids grow up and start bringing their own children here. That’s how it goes at Rutugandh Vihar. We are just a part of the local street life. We don't plan on moving anywhere else. It’s a good spot to be in Solapur.
