Shri Devi Pavnai Rawalnath Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Sawantwadi. Our office is located at Sr No 53A/12B, which is quite close to the Tehsildar office. If you are in Sindhudurg, you know that farming in this coastal belt has its own rhythm and its own set of problems. We are a collective of farmers who grew tired of trying to figure everything out on our own. Between the heavy monsoon rains and the changing market prices, it was getting to be too much. So, we set up this company to bring some order to things. We are just local people who grew up on these lands. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we keep our files and meet to talk about the season's plans. We spend a lot of time discussing which seeds to use and how to get our produce to the markets without losing too much money on transport. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when everyone shows up at once, but we manage. We don’t have any polished speeches or big promises. We just work with what we have and try to help each other out. Being near the town office makes it a bit easier to handle the official bits of the business. We’re just here doing the daily work that comes with being a farmer in Sindhudurg. It's a lot of back and forth, but that is how it goes.
