Shivsangram Agro Producer Company Limited is based right here in Sundi, which is in the Chandgad taluka of Kolhapur. Our main spot is House No. 131 on Laxmi Galli. If you know the area, it's not hard to find us. We are just a bunch of local people from the village who decided to form this group to make the farming life a bit more manageable. In Kolhapur, especially around Chandgad, we grow a lot of things, but getting everything organized for sale or getting the right supplies can be a headache when you're alone. That’s why we have this setup. It’s pretty informal most days, despite the long name on the registration papers. We spend a lot of time just talking on the porch or in the lane about what the rain is doing or why certain seeds aren't taking. We aren't some big city corporation. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails and spend our days out in the fields before coming back to House No. 131 to handle the business side of things. It’s a lot of work, and sometimes we wonder if it's worth the extra effort, but then we see how it helps the smaller farms around Laxmi Galli and we keep at it. We just want to keep things moving forward for the families here in Sundital-Chandgad without making things too complicated for ourselves.
