Krishikalp Sanjivani Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Sheluwada, right by the Gaiwalkaranja post office. It's a small place, mostly just us and the fields. Krishikalp Sanjivani started because a few of us locally wanted to do things differently. You see, farming around here isn't always easy. We spend most of our days out in the dirt, checking on crops and hoping for rain at the right time. Our office is just a simple spot where we meet up to talk about what needs doing. Sometimes we sit there for hours discussing seed prices or who has a tractor available. It’s not a big fancy operation. We are just local people who grew up in this dirt. We know the land at Sheluwada like the back of our hands. Being a Farmer Producer Company basically means we try to handle our own business instead of letting others dictate things. We’ve got a lot of families involved now. Everyone puts in their bit of work. It’s hard work, but when we see the trucks leaving with our produce, it feels like we’re actually getting somewhere. We don't have a lot of time for writing fancy stories about ourselves. We just wanted a name that meant something to us, and that’s how Krishikalp Sanjivani came about. If you ever pass through the Gaiwalkaranja area, you’ll see our fields. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done, but now we’re doing it as a proper group of neighbors who care about the land.
