Krushikokan Farmersproducer Companylimited

Down here in Banda, we run Krushikokan Farmersproducer Companylimited. Our spot is at House No. 1887 in Gadgewadi, which is part of the Sawantwadi taluka. This is a very green part of the country. We are basically a group of farmers who decided to work together to get things done. It’s not some corporate office in a big city. It’s just a house where we meet up and figure out how to sell what we grow. The roads around Gadgewadi can be narrow, so you have to drive carefully when coming to visit us. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We talk about seeds, weather, and market prices while we have our tea. It is a very practical way of doing things. No one wears a suit here. We are usually in our work clothes because there is always something to do outside. The building itself is simple, just like the rest of the neighborhood in Sawantwadi. We take pride in what the soil gives us. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but we help each other out with it. It’s a community thing more than anything else. If you are passing through the Banda area, you can find us by asking for the farmers' group near the Gadgewadi stretch. We've been here for a while and don't plan on going anywhere else. It’s just how we live and work in this part of Konkan.
