Shri Shyam Traders

Shri Shyam Traders is located in New Hasimara. We are in the Alipurduar district, near the Hasimara police station. This part of the country is very different from the big cities. We have been running our trading business here for many years. The shop is a simple place with wooden shelves and a basic counter. We sell a variety of things that people in this area need for their homes and farms. Hasimara is a small town and life moves a bit slower here. We know almost everyone who walks through the door. During the monsoon season, it rains a lot and things can get a bit damp, but we just keep going. We don't have any fancy computers or complicated systems. We mostly write everything down in ledgers like we always have. It’s a lot of talking to people and listening to what’s happening in the district. Sometimes the trucks with our supplies get delayed because of the mountain roads, but we are used to that. We just wait and make do with what we have in stock. It’s a small operation, just me and a couple of family members helping out. We don’t have a big mission or anything, we just want to provide what people need and stay in business. It’s a humble way to live and we like being part of this community. We keep our doors open for anyone.
