Saraswati T T College

We are based out in Nani, near Chhoti Sihot, which is a small spot you reach via Faglwa. It’s right in the Sikar district of Rajasthan. People around here know the 332001 area for being quite traditional and straightforward, and our college is much the same. It’s a teacher training center where things are kept very basic and functional. We don't have any big city bells and whistles. The classrooms are simple, and the courtyard is where most people gather when they aren't in a lecture. The commute out here can be a bit long for some, as the roads aren't always the smoothest, but students still make the trip every day. We see a lot of young people from the surrounding villages who want to get their teaching qualifications. The staff here are mostly folks from the region who appreciate the quiet of the countryside. In the summer, the heat can be quite something, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the day. There isn't any fancy corporate structure here; it’s just a few of us running the office and the teachers handling the classes. We’ve been a part of this community for a while now, and we just focus on the day-to-day tasks. It’s a plain, honest place where you come to learn and then go back to your village to work.
